TC Offers Confined Space Safety Training for Local Employers Thanks to a Texas Mutual Insurance Grant
Texarkana College’s TC@TexAmericas Center site in New Boston, Texas, (Exit 206; Spur 86 off I-30 & Hwy 82) will offer a 40-hour Confined Space course for area Texas businesses and industries in July and the first week of August. Thanks to a grant from Texas Mutual Insurance, these courses will be offered free of charge.
“This grant provides a great opportunity for local employers to get high-quality training for free,” said Scotty Hayes, TC@TexAmericas Center Director. “Space is limited and first come, first served, though, so I encourage employers to reserve spaces as soon as possible.”
The Confined Space course will be limited to the first 20 students. This 40-hour course will be held from July 30-August 2 (Monday through Thursday) and will save our business and industry partners $943 per student. As of today, there are still several open seats for this 40 hour Confined Space course.
Interested business and industry partners can reserve spaces for their employees by emailing the names and contact information of the students to:
Paula Turner,Paula.Turner@texarkanacollege.edu, 903-823-3162; and
