TC Foundation awards Scott Sullivan Memorial Scholarship

Family and friends of the late Scott Sullivan presented a $1,500 scholarship to Texarkana College Automotive Technology student Shawn Bradshaw at a presentation at Texarkana College’s Nelson Administration Building stairs at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23rd. Bradshaw is currently completing his first semester at Texarkana College.

“Anyone who knew my brother knew he loved cars and loved helping people,” said Lindsey Sullivan, Scott’s sister. “There are stories of him tirelessly tracking down parts so he could fix a friend’s car.”

A Texarkana resident, Scott passed away at the age of 31, and Lindsey began the scholarship in his memory. Lindsey will attend the scholarship presentation, along with family friends Jerod Smith, Michael Cannon and Kasey Cannon.

“I can think of no better way to honor my brother’s memory than to help another person succeed in what Scott loved to do,” Lindsey said.
