  • Learn specialty options as bookkeeper, insurance and coding specialist, managed care coordinator, medication assistant, patient care technician, and patient navigator.
  • Students will learn medical knowledge, organizational and business skills, and the ability to meet accepted performance standards of health care workers.
  • Complete documentation for preauthorization of tests or surgeries.
  • Scheduling of patients, written correspondence, dictation, managing chart notes, maintaining patient digital records (EMR) systems, inventory of medical office supplies, oversee the reception room,
  • Collections of fees, billing patients, accounts receivable and overdue accounts, and banking and payroll.

Medical Insurance
Study of medical insurance with billing, claim coding, claim preparation & filing, claim follow-up, payment processing, and interpersonal skills.

Medical Law and Ethics for the Health Professionals
Study of Medical Law and Ethics including foundations of law and ethics, legal issues for working healthcare practitioners, and professional, social, and interpersonal healthcare issues.

Medical Administrative Support
