TC offers tobacco cessation classes to promote tobacco-free campus
| by Amber Kirkham, TC News reporter |
Texarkana College is now a tobacco-free campus and is looking for ways to help nicotine-addicted students fight their addiction. Beginning in March, TC will be offering four classes to students who are trying to quit tobacco usage.
The first class was held March 8. The classes are free and will be held by a certified tobacco cessation specialist who is a former smoker. Participants of the class will be offered medical help to quit with patches. Students interested in participating in this class must register either at the Continuing Education Office, on the Texarkana College website, or by mail.
The other three classes will be held on March 20, April 10 and May 8.
For more information, contact the Continuing Education Office at (903) 823-3270.
