Graduation set for May 16

Spring Commencement 2016 will be held Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Texarkana.
Rehearsal will be held at 10 a.m. May 16.

Applications for graduation are accepted all year, but the deadline for Spring Commencement was April 1.

Lee Williams, Director of Admissions and Recruitment, said graduation packets were mailed April 26.

“Packets went out to people who have expressed interest in participating in graduation,” Williams said. “The graduation packet has information on what time to show up, how to get your photos done, information about Texas A&M, and how to get your honor cord.”

Williams said this particular packet is sent to “people who are confirmed completers.”

There is no limit on guests per graduate, so students can bring as many guests as possible.

The graduation will be streamed live on the Texarkana College website (https://www.texarkanacollege.edu/) with a countdown clock beginning that morning during practice.
