Notice of Candidate Filing Dates and Deadline for Texarkana College Board of Trustees Election

The first day to file for the Texarkana College Board of Trustees (Places 1, 3, 4, and 7) election is Monday, July 23, 2018 at 8 a.m.  

 

Place 1 aligns with Bowie County Commissioner Precinct 1 (Southeast Bowie County). Term ends 2022.

 

Place 3 aligns with Bowie County Commissioner Precinct 3 (Northwest Bowie County). Term ends 2024.

 

Place 4 aligns with Bowie County Commissioner Precinct 4 (Southwest Bowie County). Term ends 2024.

 

Place 7 is an at-large position, encompassing all of Bowie County. Term ends 2020.

 

The candidate election packets will be made available in the Office of the President of Texarkana College at 2500 N. Robison Road in Texarkana, Texas. 

 

Filing Deadline is Monday, August 20, 2018 at 5 p.m.

 

Early voting is from October 22 to November 2, 2018.

 

Election day is Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
