Sage Announces Armchair Traveler & Sage Summer Talks
Armchair Traveler
The SAGE Program at Texarkana College announces “Armchair Traveler.” This is a seven-session travelogue class covering Japan, Italy, Costa Rica, Israel, Peru, France, and New Orleans. Sessions will be 90 minutes long and will be held in the Old Town Exhibit meeting space at 202 E. Broad Street, Texarkana, Arkansas. Refreshments will be served and we would like for those attending to R.S.V.P. so that we will have enough for everyone. The schedule of presentations is as follows:

Sage Summer Talks
The SAGE Program at Texarkana College announces SAGE Summer Talks. This is a five-week series featuring local professionals discussing their favorite topic and each session is free and open to the general public. The sessions are on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Levi Hall Room of the Business Building on the Texarkana College campus. Presentations included in this wonderful, thought-provoking series are:
- Thursday, June 8 | Brian Goesl | “The State of the Arts in Texarkana and the Surrounding Region”
- Thursday, June 15 | David Mallett | “Texarkana’s Rich Musical Heritage”
- Thursday, June 22 | Mayor Bob Bruggeman | “The State of the City – Texarkana, Texas”
- Thursday, July 6 | Mayor Ruth Penney Bell “Changes I have Witnessed in the City of Texarkana, Arkansas”
- Thursday, July 20 | James Henry Russell | “Leadership and Strategic Thinking”
