UKE 108: 12 Bar Blues

What do Johnny B. Goode, Day Tripper, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and Kansas City have in common? All are based on the 12-bar blues! In this short, one-hour class, you will learn the structure of the 12-bar blues which can apply to 100s of songs. We’ll add a few cool techniques including intros, outros, and turn arounds. Heck, you’ll even write your own blues tune! Watch out Chuck Berry! This class is for ages 10 and up who have completed uke 101 or know some basic uke chords. Just bring yourself, your uke, and a tuner. Copies of PowerPoint slides, our class songbook, and other handouts will be provided to add to you binders, and as always—SNACKS!
