About The Bulldog 100
The BullDog 100 Mini NASCAR® Race was established in 2005 as the annual fundraiser for the College’s Rising Star program. An event that was over two years in the making, our first three races have been huge successes, with an amazing 64 race teams, over 1500 participants, close to 10,000 spectators, and more than $100,000 raised for scholarships!
The Rising Star Scholarship is a full resident tuition and fee scholarship for academic or vocational classes for the freshman and sophomore years. Applicants must be current high school graduates and have a family taxable income of $75,000 or less. Application deadline is August 1st following high school graduation. First year recipients must maintain full-time status and a minimum GPA of 2.0. Rising Star students who complete their freshman year with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and full-time status are eligible for second year funding.
The BullDog 100 brings together teams from local, area and regional businesses, industries, community leaders and various civic groups to race miniature NASCAR®-style cars through a twisting, turning ½ mile course, running through the heart of the Texarkana College campus. Funds raised from this event will go 100% to the College’s Rising Star Scholarship Fund. The event offers scrumptious festival-type foods, games, contests, and of course, plenty of mini NASCAR® racing action!
The 2010 BullDog 100 will be even bigger, better and more exciting than ever with an all new layout, returning champions, new vendors, and a weekend of fun activities for the whole family. But we know why you’re really coming-to see who wins the coveted Checkered Flag!

TC Campus - Each team will be judged on its uniforms and car decor, as well as
taking part in a fastest pit stop competition. Trophies will be awarded after competition.

Car Inspections & Qualifying - Mandatory
TC Campus - Car Inspection is mandatory for all teams. The cars will be inspected for race readiness and drivers will be able to get a feel for the race course in a practice environment. Cars will be inspected in groups of six and then will be given the opportunity to take to the track for practice laps, while the next group of cars is being inspected. Once all of the cars have been inspected and had practice laps, qualifying heats will begin. Teams will be divided into 3 divisions. Each division will participate in Three heat races.(15 laps, 2pit stops ) Each team’s slowest heat time will be thrown out and the remaining two heats’ times averaged to determine in which of Saturday’s feature races your team will compete. schedule to be announced at april's meeting
